In Which Activities Should Gloves Be Worn?

Nylon or nylon-coated gloves are used in many areas, particularly in situations where protection against mechanical impacts is necessary.

Nylon is a durable, lightweight, and flexible material that is especially suitable for activities requiring good dexterity.

Overall, nylon gloves are an excellent choice for individuals seeking protection and comfort. They can also be worn comfortably over extended periods.

What Does the Term "Gauge" Mean?

Regarding fine-knit and knitted gloves, the term gauge refers to the density of stitches per inch or centimeter of the knitted material. A higher gauge means the knitted fabric is finer and denser. This directly affects the fit, flexibility, and tactile feel of the gloves. Different gauge values such as 7, 10, or 13 are used to indicate the fineness of the knitted material.

Are the Gloves Also Touchscreen Compatible?

Some of our gloves are touchscreen compatible, which means they have special conductive materials at the fingertips. This feature allows you to operate electronic devices like tablets and smartphones without removing the gloves.

What Materials Are the Gloves Made Of?

Nylon gloves are typically made from a blend of various materials, with nylon being the primary material. It provides strength, elasticity, and durability. Depending on the requirements, they may also include coatings made from materials such as nitrile.

They are made from robust materials and have reinforcements at high-stress areas.

What Standard Do Nylon Gloves Typically Have?

DIN EN 388:2019

EN 388 specifies the test procedures that make all protective gloves in PPE categories II and III (protection against medium and irreversible/fatal risks) comparable in terms of their mechanical performance. When choosing between Glove A and Glove B, the user should be able to determine which of the two gloves is better suited for their application.

For EN 388, each glove must meet the basic requirements for a protective glove. This is all detailed in EN 420. When assessing mechanical protective gloves, the focus is on 6 properties: abrasion resistance, cut resistance according to conventional methods, tear resistance, puncture resistance, cut resistance according to new methods, and impact protection.
