Napoleon pocket
The Napoleon pocket, also known as the "Napoleon pocket," is a functional element in the world of workwear and outdoor clothing. It is a special type of pocket attached to the front or side of garments such as jackets, shirts, or vests. Characteristic of Napoleon pockets is their placement at chest height, often near the heart area.
Cold insulation (CI)
The abbreviation "CI" stands for "Cold Insulation," referring to the ability of footwear to keep cold at bay and protect the wearer's feet in cold working environments. This is particularly relevant in industries such as food processing, warehousing, or other workplaces with low temperatures.
Detectability
The word detectable means recognizable or locatable. Products with this property are quickly and reliably detected by the use of a special plastic material by detection systems. Detectable items are products or tools that have been specifically designed to be detected by metal detectors or X-ray systems in food production. This is particularly important in the food industry to ensure that no foreign objects end up in the food, which could lead to consumer injuries or costly recalls.
X-Ray (radiodetectability): These materials are capable of absorbing or scattering X-rays, allowing them to be detected using X-ray equipment.
Metal detectability: They contain metallic elements or compounds that are detected by metal detectors to detect metallic contaminants.

Contact cold
Contact cold occurs when coming into contact with cold objects or surfaces. To protect against contact cold, it is recommended to use gloves with appropriate protective properties.
The protective effectiveness of gloves against contact cold is tested according to ISO 5085. A glove that meets the requirements of EN 511 provides protection against contact cold.
Convective cold
Convective cold is the penetrating cold that arises due to wind and low temperatures.
With convective cold, protecting the entire body is important, as this type of cold is caused by the airflow that passes over the body and removes heat. Therefore, it is not sufficient to protect only the hands; the entire body must be adequately protected from cold exposure due to moving air or wind.
Compliance with standards DIN EN 14058 (for protective clothing in cool environments above -5°C), DIN EN 342 (for protection against cold), and DIN EN 343 (for protection against rain and snow) are important criteria, depending on the application area, that should be considered first when selecting the appropriate protective clothing.
