Protect yourself from contamination and soiling with our white clothing.
With our white hygiene clothing, you can ensure general and comprehensive protection in the food production. In the following, you can have a look at various aspects and refer to standards and safety aspects.
At what temperature should clothing be cleaned?
Usually, garments that are worn several times are often cleaned at temperatures of at least 60° (household laundry) to 90° (industrial laundry) to remove contamination and dirt and to achieve effective disinfection.
The white quilted garments from Fortdress are particularly suitable because they can be washed at 60° in accordance with HACCP.
What standards should hygiene clothing fulfil?
HACCP clothing
Companies that produce and/or process food are obliged to work according to a strict HACCP concept. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) stands for a hygiene control system that helps to ensure food safety. If you use HACCP clothing in accordance with DIN 10524, you are on the safe side when it comes to complying with the strict hygiene requirements for workwear in the food industry. HACCP clothing is specially designed and manufactured to prevent food contamination. Fortdress offers modern and certified HACCP clothing for various requirements.
DIN EN ISO 13688
The international standard DIN EN ISO 13688 specifies the general requirements for protective clothing. These requirements relate to the ergonomics, harmlessness, ageing, size labelling and compatibility of protective clothing. It also stipulates that clothing manufacturers must include an information leaflet with the garment. DIN EN ISO 13688 is the basic standard for protective clothing that every item of clothing must fulfil.
DIN EN 14058
The DIN EN 14058 is a standard for protection against cold. This standard specifies the requirements for clothing to protect against cold environments. This clothing provides protection at a temperature of up to -5 degrees Celsius, whereby the value is only to be understood as a guide. The value may vary depending on physical exertion, additional clothing worn, wind speeds, wetness, humidity, etc.
Am I obliged to wear HACCP clothing?
The EU Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs, which came into force on 1 January 2006, makes the establishment of an HACCP concept mandatory for anyone who handles foodstuffs or places them on the market. Every food business operator - including restaurateurs - must be able to provide evidence of the operational HACCP concept in the form of documents and records.
The entrepreneur has to ensure that the documents are always up to date. They must prove to the competent authority that they fulfil these requirements. In practice, this means that the food business operator must present the records to the food inspector.
