Worth Knowing
The only layer you need in the freezer.
To avoid freezing at work, it is important not only to wear a warm jacket or pants, but especially to choose the bottom layer of clothing correctly. Many people mistakenly believe that the more layers you wear, the warmer you stay. But in this case, it is a myth. The right layers are crucial to staying optimally warm. Learn which layers you need in your freezer here.
- Base Layer: Light weigth underwear garments
The first layer, also known as the base layer, is designed to wick sweat away from the surface of your skin in a controlled manner so that moisture doesn't collect in your clothing, causing you to freeze. By wicking moisture away from your skin, your skin stays dry, which is essential to staying warm. - Top Layer: Thick padded freezer garments
The second layer consists of thick, padded clothing specifically designed for use in cold environments. This layer serves as the main layer of insulation and is designed to trap your body heat. Choose garments such as insulated jackets or pants that offer high thermal insulation. We offer a wide selection of cold weather protective clothing that complies with EN342.
Fitting
The range of sizes is. extensive and thus there is something for all body proportions. For example, the cold protection can be purchased in sizes XS-6XL. The garments fit according to our size chart and do not need to be ordered wider or smaller. However, a good fit is very important with this form of clothing.
The first layer, thermal underwear should fit snugly and be worn directly against the skin. If the underwear fits too loosely, it cannot develop its temperature-regulating effect well. If it fits too tightly, it will quickly be perceived as uncomfortable, especially during movement. The tighter the thermal underwear, the better it can insulate. The second layer, should be loose enough to allow good air circulation.
